Software shortlist

Best Business Software in Africa (2026)

4 min read

Africa is not one software market. This page compares 10 vendors based in Morocco, Algeria, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal and South Africa, from procurement suites to field sales tools and lead-data services. It excludes Tunisia and Egypt, which have their own pages: see the Tunisia and Egypt lists. It is a comparison on stated criteria, not a ranking.

Who this list is for

It is for owners, finance and sales managers, and consultants who work with companies in French-speaking North and West Africa, East Africa or South Africa. A Moroccan distributor, a Kenyan manufacturer and a Johannesburg trading house will not pick the same tool. Reading the vendors side by side shows where local currency pricing, language and field-sales needs change the shortlist.

How we compared

We used public vendor pages and listings only, and we did not test any product.

  • The job the product mainly does: procurement, invoicing, field sales, CRM or lead data.
  • Pricing currency and whether a price is published, for example in naira, rand or CFA francs.
  • Delivery model: software you run yourself, an app, or a service run by people.
  • The customer profile described, from small businesses to distributors and manufacturers.

Where Millisave fits

Millisave names Morocco, Algeria and Kenya among its markets, so the relevant product for many readers of this page is Source to Pay. A purchase request is approved against a visible budget, sent as an RFQ or RFP to suppliers from your own list or the Millisave marketplace, and the offers are compared with commercial and technical scoring. Receipts, bills, credit notes and payments follow the order. AI drafts RFP questionnaires and proposes suppliers; the buyer awards.

It is fair to state the limits. South Africa, Nigeria and Senegal are not among the markets Millisave names, the interface is English and French with Arabic described as coming, and Millisave has no field-sales app described in its documentation. For van sales or route coverage, tools such as Solutech or Skynamo address a different job. The wider platform adds Send to Order, the CRM, the Sales Engine and dashboards. How to choose

Begin with the country of the legal entity that will use the system, because tax rules, e-invoicing and currency differ sharply across the continent. Then pick the job. A procurement suite and a lead-data service answer unrelated questions. Finally, ask for references from the same country and the same sector. Vendors that publish a starting price or a free tier make early comparison easier, but a published price is not a quote for your volumes.

Questions to ask in a demo

  • Show the invoice or purchase order in the language and currency your auditors expect.
  • Explain how a tax change is delivered to existing customers.
  • Describe how data is hosted and where support staff are based.
  • Confirm which features need a stable internet connection.

Region note: Africa

Language and currency vary by country, so ask each vendor which interface languages and which pricing currency it supports where you operate. Several vendors above state prices in naira, rand or CFA francs on their own sites, which helps local budgeting but may differ from what a group head office expects. Keep a short written record of each answer, because vendors change plans and regions often, and the record makes your final comparison fair to every vendor on the shortlist.

The interface is English and French, with Arabic described as coming. Ask the Millisave team about availability for your country.

Why are Tunisia and Egypt not on this page?

Tunisia and Egypt each have their own region list, so that vendors are not counted twice and each page stays focused. This page covers the rest of the continent, from Morocco and Algeria in the north to Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal and South Africa. Use the three pages together for a pan-African view.
