Millisave vs Lexa ERP: Purchasing for Tunisian SMEs

4 min read, Last checked October 2026

Lexa ERP is the product of Lexa Technologies SUARL, a Tunisian software publisher based in Tunis (Centre Urbain Nord). It is an ERP built on Odoo technology and sold in four offers: Mini, Pro, Max and Entreprise. Millisave Source to Pay is a purchasing platform for mid-market companies that make and sell physical products. Both can run purchasing in Tunisia, but they start from different places. Lexa starts from the ledger, the stock and the invoice. Millisave starts from the purchasing decision.

What Lexa ERP is built for

On its own website, Lexa lists sales, purchasing, stock and a CRM (Lexa CRM) among its modules. The larger offers add accounting, production planning (GPAO), payroll, quality and e-commerce. The Mini offer installs on a single computer, while Pro and above run on a server or on a cloud hosted in Tunisia. Prices are shown in dinars, excluding tax, with no per-user fee. Lexa covers VAT, withholding tax and the Tunisian chart of accounts, and sells El Fatoora e-invoicing as a separate special feature. Support is offered in French and Arabic.

What Millisave Source to Pay is built for

Source to Pay is one chain of seven steps: request, approve, source, order, receive, bill and pay. A need is captured once. The approver sees the available budget before signing. An RFQ or RFP goes to invited suppliers, and offers are compared on one basis, including currency conversion. Accepting an offer creates the purchase order with the awarded lines already filled in. Goods receipts, bills, credit notes and payments then follow the order, and payments feed the spent amount of the budget. The AI works at the slow points: it drafts RFP questionnaires, widens the supplier panel, groups similar requests, estimates reference prices and explains the trade-offs between offers. The AI proposes and people decide.

Fit for a Tunisian company

If your first need is a local ledger, VAT handling and one system for stock and invoices, Lexa speaks directly to that, with French and Arabic support and hosting inside Tunisia. If your first need is to stop overspend and to compare supplier offers fairly, Millisave is the more focused tool. Millisave is available in English and French, its budgets support the Tunisian dinar, euro, US dollar, pound and Saudi riyal, and Arabic coverage in the application should be confirmed in a demo. The two are not exclusive: Millisave is designed to sit beside an existing accounting system.

Who should choose which

  • Choose Lexa ERP if you want a single, locally supported ERP with fixed dinar prices on its smaller offers and accounting, payroll and production in the same package.
  • Choose Millisave if purchasing is where margin leaks: unapproved spend, offers compared in spreadsheets, suppliers chosen by habit.
  • Use both if your accounting stays in an ERP and you want a decision layer for sourcing and approvals in front of it.

How the rest of the Millisave platform adds up

Source to Pay is one of three packs. Send to Order adds the sales side: quotes, sales orders, campaigns by email and WhatsApp and a shareable e-catalogue. Pilotage and Governance adds dashboards, an action board and an AI Advisor. All of them read the same product catalogue, so buyers and sellers work from one record. You can start with purchase requests only and add modules later.

Frequently asked questions

Is Lexa ERP a procurement system or a full ERP?

Lexa ERP is a full ERP. Its public site lists sales, purchasing, stock and CRM among its modules, with accounting, production, payroll and e-commerce also named, depending on the offer. Millisave Source to Pay is narrower: it covers the purchasing chain from request to payment and sits beside an accounting system.

Can Millisave replace Lexa ERP?

Not as a general ledger. Millisave does not replace accounting, payroll or production. It replaces spreadsheets and email around requests, RFQs, approvals, orders, receipts and bills. Companies that keep Lexa for accounting can add Millisave for the purchasing decision and the audit trail.

Which one handles Tunisian VAT and El Fatoora?

Lexa states that it covers VAT, withholding tax and the Tunisian chart of accounts, and sells El Fatoora e-invoicing as a separate feature. Millisave provides flexible tax fields and document templates, and tax formatting remains the company's responsibility. Ask Millisave in a demo whether your e-invoicing requirement is covered.

How is pricing different?

Lexa states a fixed dinar price, excluding tax, for its Mini, Pro and Max offers, with no per-user fee, and prices Entreprise on quote, according to its website. Millisave sets prices for each market it serves and quotes after a demo. Compare total cost over the same number of users and modules, not list prices alone.
