You choose where your website runs. We can host it on Millisave's server, deploy it on your own server, or split it so each part lives where it fits best. In every case we set up your domain and HTTPS, and you know exactly what you own at handover.
Three options

Millisave's server
We host and maintain the website for you. A good fit when you want no server to manage. Millisave runs the server. We need access to your domain.
Your server
We deploy the website on infrastructure you control. A good fit when your company policy or IT team requires your own infrastructure. Your IT team or provider runs the server. We need server access and your technical requirements.
Hybrid
Some parts on each side, for example the public site with us and a data service on yours. A good fit when you have a mix of needs. Hybrid setups are discussed per project, and who runs what is agreed in the plan.
Domain, DNS and HTTPS
Domain
The domain is registered in your name. If you do not have one, we guide you to register it yourself.
DNS
We give you the exact records to set, or we set them if you give us access.
HTTPS
We set up HTTPS so the site loads securely.
Changing DNS can affect email delivery for your domain. We check your email records before any change and tell you what we find.
Backups
Backups protect you if something goes wrong.
On Millisave's server
Backups for a site on our server are discussed per project. Ask us what is included before you decide.
On your server
We tell you what to back up and how, and we can set it up with your IT team.
At handover, you receive
Access
Access to the website and its admin area.
Documentation
Written documentation: how the site is built, how to edit content, where it is hosted.
Files and content
The website files and content. Once the project is paid in full, you own your content, your domain and the files we deliver. Third-party tools and fonts keep their own licences.

Where do my customers' data live?
Form submissions and any visitor data are handled according to the hosting option you choose. We describe this in the quotation and in your privacy information.
Hosting: common questions
Can I move my website to another server later?
Yes. We build with documented methods and hand over the files, so you can move or ask another provider to host.
Do I have to host with Millisave?
No. You can host on your own server or with your own provider. We deploy it there.
Who pays for the domain and the certificate?
The domain is registered and paid for by you, in your name. Hosting and HTTPS certificate costs depend on the option you choose and are listed in the quotation.
What happens to my site if I stop using your care plan?
It keeps running. You or your provider take over updates and backups using the documentation we gave you.
Can you host a site you did not build?
Ask us. We review the site first, then tell you if we can host it.
